Tonight seemed to be Taylor Swift night at the bar. For some reason or other. Derek was just going to assume it was because the of the DJ's continued hatred of all those who worked there. Which, you know, was distinctly possible.

So, enjoy listening to someone sing about an ex-boyfriend. And another ex-boyfriend. And then, to switch it up, another ex-boyfriend.

Derek was just going to spend his evening trying to find earplugs, thank you.

Jack listened to the music on his way into the club, nose wrinkled in contempt. He was almost happy to have the news about Jackson to recount; at the very least, it'd be a distraction.

"So I had an interesting conversation yesterday," he said,in lieu of hello. And he wasn't even talking about the Stiles chat; he figured Derek would stop acting like an idiot on that point when he was ready to, without any further input from Jack.

"With who?" Oh god, so many people to yell at him.

"Jackson Whittemore," Jack said cautiously. "Do you know him?"

"Stiles knows him." And he was scared of Derek. So... "I met a version of him in Beacon Hills."

"Right." Because Beacon Hills was like that. "He might be trouble. Some idiot gave him the bite and he wants to" -- air quotes, horrible American accent -- "'figure it out on his own.' He doesn't want you to know, but..."

Tough luck, Jackson.

"What should we do?"

HEY NOW. RUDE.

Derek sighed, wondering how all his terrible decisions lead to this. "He can't stay in the dorms."

Crap, he really was going to need to talk to Stiles now.

Because you were cursed, Derek. CURSED with horrible judgement.

"Not during the moon he can't," Jack agreed. "But I don't want to start kidnapping people."

Derek sighed. "I'll talk to Stiles."

Jackson, why did you ruin the perfectly good avoidance?

"You think he'll get some sense into Jackson?" Jack sounded uncertain about this. "He didn't seem to want to listen to me at all."

Not to doubt Stiles' mad persuasive skillz.
