jgob, tuesday afternoon
After his class earlier, Flick really needed to get outside. He hated the feeling like the world was caving in on him, hated that heavy weight sitting on his chest, making it almost impossible to breathe. He'd had panic attacks before and he'd gotten familiar enough with the signs that he knew how to stave them off for the most part. His preventative actions didn't always work but this time, they had.
He didn't care that it was hot. He needed to be outside. And he didn't want to slink around in alleyways right now. So, he'd taken a seat at one of the tables outside of the bakery and calmed himself down. Once that was down, he leaned back and naturally started to scope out the people passing him by. His eyes darted to purses, backpacks, and pockets that were a little too full to just be carrying a set of keys.
He'd done enough stealing the other night on the mainland to get another set of clothes, at least, but he couldn't help falling back into old habits. His father wanted him to hide but he hadn't said disappear. Besides, this was a talent that didn't hurt anyone. For the most part.
Flick hadn't moved though. He was just waiting for the right moment, the right person before he decided if he was going to snatch and go.
[Open. He's not going to steal anything, unless you want him to, of course]

Because that was perfectly normal, thank you.
It was only after he'd uploaded the picture that he noticed a new student and waved at them. Well. He was assuming they were a student at least.

He didn't even know if he should wave back so he kept his hands on the table. "Hello. Taking pictures of food?"
no subject
"Oh yes," he said, turning to phone to show his twitter feed. "Food is nearly as popular as adorable animals dressed up in costume."
Thorgi would forever be his crowning glory on Tumblr.
no subject
"Why?" he had to ask. "People that bored that looking at food on a website is enough to keep their attention for a few seconds?"
no subject
That was actually a scary thought.
"I am Loki, by the way."
no subject
Flick thought himself pretty smart but he still had no idea what Loki had really just said.
no subject
He came already used to this sort of thing, after all.
no subject
It didn't stop even on a weird island.
"I'm hoping not to be here too long that I get used to it. I don't need to get comfortable."
no subject
Dark ages.
no subject
"How long you been here?" he asked absently.
no subject
His was a special life.
"Well over a year," he replied. "I found mine brother here as well. So, there are many, ah, perks of the island."
no subject
no subject
Yeah.
no subject
That was about the only outward reaction he had to that mess of information that Loki had just dropped on him. This place...yeah, this place. That was about all he had.
He glanced down at the phone again. "And the thought of there being two of you out there doesn't bother you?"
It would bother the fuck out of him.

"Not if it doesn't, no," he said, flipping the phone over and giving the the casing a better look. "I kinda hope there's not another me out there. I like being special."

Just ask the Jensen Ackles twins over at Luke's.
no subject
Flick rubbed his cheek with his free hand and laughed a bit because it was that or let himself go crazier.
"Explain that."
no subject
Liiiiiies.

Flick was going to kill his father. He didn't need Lucian Mandel's evidence to do that. Not anymore.

Even if Loki was more powerful than he was. He'd still try.
no subject
Loki. Loki, no.
no subject
"You expect that to work?" Flick asked, amused. "Suggest I don't do that in the hopes that I will, right?"
no subject
Might have had something to do with trying to destroy planets. That was neither here nor there.
"Those foolish enough to fall for it, deserve to be bitten."

He had a though that Loki would have definitely been one of the Wolves if he'd been in Mandel.
no subject
no subject
Because he knew he wasn't.
" -- but you don't seem like the type who cares if you're rude or not. Just a vibe I'm getting."

Obviously Loki didn't.
no subject
Yeah, he was definitely a teenager.

Flick couldn't get a really good read on Loki which he supposed was all the same considering he was some kind of god or something. He wasn't sure if he believed that was true or if he believed Loki was just a few cards short of a deck. Not that he should talk about that either...
"But, I've had pizza before. It's pretty much all the same for me. You the younger brother or the older?"
Curiosity.

Flick leaned back in his chair, hands in his lap and a blank expression on his face. He didn't care that much about Loki's familiar situation but there were similarities in his own life that were rearing their head.
Of course.

He ought to know. He'd forced Thor to do some terrible things. Kinslaying chief among them.
no subject
This was going to lead to another panic attack. He could just feel it. He was never that lucky to avoid them completely.
"I'm sure that'll work out just fine for you," he said, reverting back to his dubious tone. "If not, you definitely have career in food photography waiting for you."

About cheese puffs. How helpful!
"I'll take it into consideration."
