The Park, Friday Afternoon
Jackson had managed to avoid the singing so far. He'd witnessed some of it happen, yeah, but in typical Jackson style, he was convinced he'd be immune and unaffected. Utterly convinced. So his random walk through the park was in no way influenced by the desire to stay the hell away from his room, for fear of having to sing about bunnies at Jim or something. That didn't factor into things at all. Nope.
He stopped by the pond to watch the ducks. They looked pretty peaceful for beings living smack dab in the middle of a completely messed up island. Jackson was almost jealous. He didn't feel that at ease anywhere. And it really shouldn't have surprised him that the island thought he should express that. To the ducks. Through song!
"When I was a child, running in the night, I was afraid of what might be hiding in the dark, hiding on the street, and of what was following me ––"
Goddammit.
[ooc: Open post/park! Inevitable wolfy bits NFB, plz.]

"Go back to the dorms."

Not that he got to say that.
"The hounds of love are calling! I've always been a coward, and I don't know what's good for me." Oh yes, that was much more useful, thank you Fandom. Jackson glared at Derek like this was his fault. "Well here I go, it's coming at me through the trees – help me someone, help me please. Take your shoes off, and I will throw them in the lake, and I will be two steps on the water."

"Hounds of love? Really?" DEREK, YOU'RE NEXT.
no subject
And then he made a face. Ugh, singing.

"I am ashamed to be running away from nothing real, I just can't deal with this, I feel ashamed to be here amongst your hounds of loving. I feel your arms surrounding me, I've always been a coward, and I don't know what's good for me."
It was pretty much the exact opposite of 'I don't want or need a pack, fuck off', and now he was glaring at them both, but at least it looked like he was getting to keep his mouth shut for a while now?

I see trouble on the way.
I see earthquakes and lightnin'.
I see bad times today."
All very accurate today. Very accurate, Derek.

"Don't go around tonight,
Well, it's bound to take your life,
There's a bad moon on the rise."
He clapped his hands over his mouth as he finished, dismayed. Did he have to go for cliches?

And you know, before his own. Dammit.
"I hear hurricanes ablowing.
I know the end is coming soon.
I fear rivers overflowing.
I hear the voice of rage and ruin."
no subject
"Don't go around tonight,
Well, it's bound to take your life,
There's a bad moon on the rise."

But he was still singing.
"In starlit nights I saw you
So cruelly you kissed me
Your lips a magic world
Your sky all hung with jewels
The killing moon
Will come too soon"
no subject
(Ahahaha no.)

"Off through the new day's mist I run
Off from the new day's mist I have come
I hunt
Therefore I am
Harvest the land
Taking of the fallen lamb
Off through the new day's mist I run
Off from the new day'smist I have come
We shift
Pulsing with the earth
Company we keep
Roaming the land while you sleep."
Because this medley needed some Metallica.

It might have been some revenge that the next thing he sang was:
"A domesticated boy, that's all you ask of me,
Darling it is no joke, this is lycanthropy.
Moon's awake now, with eyes wide open
My body is craving, so feed the hungry..."
Shakira was fierce. Truly.

He looked appaled at himself. Never mind that that one definitely came from some pretty heavily repressed issues.
[Behold, power metal.]

Deal with it.
"...we need to stop this."
Before they harmonized on a power ballad. Such as...
"Under a lovers' sky
Gonna be with you
And noone's gonna be around
If you think that you won't fall
Well just wait until
Til the sun goes down."
Aw yeah. Leann Rimes. Just what
everyoneno one asked for.no subject
"Underneath the starlight, starlight
There's a magical feeling, so right
It'll steal your heart tonight
You can try to resist
Try to hide from my kiss
But you know
But you know that you can't fight the moonlight"
There was choreography, too. Some kind of ... jazz hands.
no subject
"Deep in the dark
You'll surrender your heart
But you know but you know
That you can't fight the moonlight
No, you can't fight it
It's gonna get to your heart."
Yes, there was more jazz handsy choreography, too. And no, they were never going to speak of this again, ever.
no subject
"There's no escape from love
Once a gentle breeze
Weaves it's spell upon your heart
No matter what you think
It won't be too long
Til your in my arms
Underneath the starlight - starlight
We'll be lost in the rhythm - so right
Feel it steal your heart tonight ."
When did choreography come into play here? When?
