Was Ron aware of the current invasion?

No. That would involve listening to radio, and radio was a worse violation of personal privacy than PRISM. In fact, Ron was currently trying to determine whether or not it was being funded by 1) local government (in which case he would cut the funding immediately) or 2) the NSA, in which case... well, he'd find a way to deal with the NSA.

This was America, damn it.

No, Ron wasn't aware of any 'fangirls'. Ron was eating. He had a bacon burger that had his name on it - literally - and another three waiting to be eaten as soon as this one had been disposed of.

Mmm. Bacon. Burger. No lettuce.

Today Kara was sporting another Etsy t-shirt creation: "BRING BACK HANOAS" in purple glittery letters.

Ron frowned, but that was the only sign of any confusion. "Yes, it is," he affirmed. "My mustache is magnificent."

"Is it real?" Kara asked. "There's been discussion."

Ron looked affronted. Real? Really? "Of course it is real," he said. "I painstakingly grew it when I was ten years old."

"Oh, honestly," Kara said. "My son Trenton's 12 and the only mustache he can grow is one he drew on with a Sharpie."

"Then respectfully, perhaps it's time someone teaches your son how to be a man, ma'am," Ron said.

His mustache twitched accordingly.

"I don't think you can teach a kid to grow facial hair," Kara mused.

"You would be wrong," Ron said. "The proper application of the right guiding principles can turn any boy into a Swanson."

He was already reaching under his desk for the pyramid.

Ron shot her a stern look. "No," he said. "I can get you a print-out. I don't believe in dispensing my autograph too freely. That is just asking for identity theft."

"I'm a very trustworthy person," Kara told him, nodding. "I haven't even gotten a parking ticket in, like, six months and the last time it was because I just needed something real quick from Walmart so I parked in front of the store. But a print-out would be okay, I guess. Could I get a pictures? Just so I can show my husband what kind of mustache I want him to grow."

"You may photograph the mustache," Ron said. "You will not photograph any other part of my face or my body."

He jammed one finger onto his keyboard until the printer started making noise.

"No, I'll leave that for Dean," Kara said, leaning in with her phone because it didn't have a zoom. Or a flash.

"The guy that looks exactly like Priestly but without the mohawk," Kara said. "There's a lot of fic out there about you."

Because "never being in the same scene together" hadn't stopped a fangirl yet. "There's also stuff with you and Priestly. And sometimes with all three of you being rugged, manly and naked in the woods together grilling."

Which was both unhygienic and a safety hazard.

"Why would anyone grill naked?" Ron asked, confused. "It would contaminate the meat and leave you no storage space."

"Well, the three of you never really get to the grilling. Normally there's a lot of sex and then the writer just forgets why you were out in the woods to begin with," Kara said.

"Right? They could at least handwave you getting home," Kara agreed. "Or putting pants on."
