Today, the kitchen at Luke's was a mess of brownie batter.
One of the kitchen guys apparently had to make some kind of baked good for his daughter's charity bake sale at school tomorrow, and he was determined to make the best brownies ever. He had smears of what Gert desperately hoped were brownie mix under his eyes like what football players did with paint, and he appeared to mean business.
"Should I put brownies on the specials board today?" Gert asked dryly as she watched him intensely putter around the kitchen.
There was no reply but Eye of the Tiger playing from someone's cell phone.

M&M/Skittles, Together At Last Brownies
