The Park, Monday Afternoon
It was a new day which meant another day Flick spent trying not to be around the damn bouncy castles. He never knew how much he liked privacy and doors until they were taken away. The bouncy castles were like sleeping in one huge sleeping bag where it was impossible to not end up on top of someone. Flick didn't like it but he figured he wasn't the only one.
He'd gone to class like a good little student and then ended up on a park bench in town. He'd slept on benches before so it was almost like coming home. Except this wasn't New York and he couldn't get up and go find Joi after he was done lazing about.
The semester was over and Flick thought that would earn him a call from his father but nothing had happened. Not a thing. In the time he'd been here, he figured Mandel had probably killed all of the Ghosts and that Gwendolyn was at his side, laughing.
And he was still here. He was still here, sitting on a park bench with a warm cup of coffee and plans to head to the mainland to snag a few items that'd help him get through the week. He'd given up on Jude, he'd given up on Joi and he knew he was pretty much on his own.
He took a sip of coffee and sighed.
[The post is open and so is the park]
