Nikolai was dealing with a very important lesson he'd learned in the wake of last night's party.
He was not, in fact, immune to hangovers. Not that he'd thought for an instant that he might be. He'd wished to be, pretty much from the instant he woke up that morning and remembered that he had a shift to work, but, when it really came down to it? Nope.

Bacon and Eggs

Really, pretty much the only upside that Nikolai could find at the moment was the fact that his 'sensitive eyes' meant that wearing shades to work to blot out some of the light wasn't any different from the norm. Hell, it was almost the truth, today.
