Furnado Animal Shelter, Monday
So apparently Scott had a job here now! Which was good, because his savings had taken a pretty significant hit in the two weeks since he'd arrived in Fandom. Without a job, that motorcycle he'd been saving up for wouldn't be happening.
Plus, this job meant he got to hang out with super-cute animals all day, like the adorable bunny currently cautiously hopping about the desk.

His eyes widened when he spotted who was behind the counter. It was probably just Stiles' friend, but if it wasn't --
"Hey," he said, sounding concerned but not especially surprised. "I didn't know you were on the island."
no subject
"Gah!" he squawked, intelligently.

Give he'd ended up shocking his doppleganger half to death to stop a werewolf attack, he was pretty sure it hadn't been forgotten, no matter how dim Scott was.
And then he realized something. "Or ... I met a you, I guess. Or there are three of us."
Stupid parallel universes.

He smiled, half apologetic. "Sorry for scaring you, man. I freaked out at first too."

"Don't worry about it," Victor said, jamming his hands into his pockets. "I think it's just a weird coincidence thing, but it's not like you expect to see your face walking around on somebody else."
As he spoke, he trained his eyes on the rabbit on Scott's desk. Bunny therapy was a good thing.

Then she saw that the person she was speaking to was her roommate and amended her question to, "What are your feelings on snakes?"

"I think they can make good pets, for the right person," he admitted. Don't mind him, Vider, he was just gonna corral that baby bunny from the edge of the desk and pull it into his lap.

((You saw nothing.))

"So... you're thinking about getting one?" he asked, frowning a little in concern. Concern for her, rather than the idea of a snake in their room. "I thought you weren't Loki's biggest fan?"

"Let me know if there's anyone you'd like to see up close."

Which would be why there was a small cotton ball of a dog now attempting to jump into his lap.
How did he even get in the building?

The dog went up on his hind legs, hopping a few times to let Scott know that this was the shizzy right here. So ignore that stupid bunny for him.

Which was probably all the distraction you could need from the creepy guy looming outside the door.

"How'd you even get in here?" Scott wondered, rubbing the top of the fluffball's head.

Damn squirrels.
And damn it, Scott. This worked do much better in dark rooms! Derek huffed in annoyance at the dog one last time before pushing the door open to retrieve him.
