Portalocity Office | 13 Griffin Way | Thursday
"Well, let's see, then," Sam said, retrieving the long roll of tickets out of the printer and examining them. She was finding it extremely difficult to keep a straight face as she brought the many sheets of paper back over to the customer. "Everything should be in order for your honeymoon, sir. One direct portal to Peppermint Forest, followed by a portal to the Lollipop Woods with a connection in the Gumdrop Mountains, and as soon as you complete your hike through the Chocolate Swamp, a portal will be waiting for you to take you and your husband to Candy Castle."
The customer thanked her, and Sam smiled -- a sincere, slightly overly amused smile. She handed the man his tickets. "If you need anything, my name is Sam Traynor, and I'll shoot you an email with my contact information just in case," she said. "Your first portal will pick you up on the Fandom side of the causeway. Enjoy your trip to Candyland!"
It wasn't until the door shut behind him that she added quite pointedly, "Not that I understand why any adult would want to go there."
Honestly.

Talk to Sam
Re: Talk to Sam
Which might have had something to do with how she'd apparently decided to be somewhat less creepy by actually stopping by to say hi. Try and contain your shock.
"No kids to bother you today, then?" she asked, leaning halfway through the doorway.
Re: Talk to Sam
...She wasn't quite sure what had made her add the 'there.' 'Hi' alone was perfectly sufficient as greetings went.
"Did you know," she said, planning to steamroll past that, "that there are working, married adults who see some sort of appeal in spending their honeymoon trudging through swamps made of candy?"
Re: Talk to Sam
She wrinkled her nose. "That's silly. What a waste of candy, and what's the fun in getting all over sticky?"
Re: Talk to Sam
Re: Talk to Sam
She broke off abruptly.
"But never mind all that, they're silly people, and now I've got a craving for candy myself."
Re: Talk to Sam
Although a thought was occuring to her, actually. "Although -- it's just about time for my break, if you'd like to walk with me to the grocery store?
Re: Talk to Sam
"And if I do, who's to say there'll be any candy left for anyone else when we leave, hmm?" she asked slyly.

She swung the 'open' sign on the door to the 'back in :30,' then held the door open for Éponine. "Après vous." And then, sheepishly: "Did I say that right?"
Her accent could use a bit of work, but it was a solid B+.

Re: Talk to Sam
She paused just outside the door, key halfway to the lock, before she turned to Éponine and said, "Don't tell me you've never been in a hot tub."

Éponine wrapped her hands around the strap of her mailbag and said, more animated than she'd been a few minutes ago, "I'd like to see it, now I know it's there. But is it really that nice?" Because she already thought her cramped little shower cubicle was the best thing ever.
