Jaina showed up a little late today, because Jag had to catch a portal out and she wanted to spend as much time as possible with him before she didn't see him for probably months again. So she was sad about that, but the idea that she'd be going home again soon meant she wasn't too depressed.

Besides, the DJ kept playing variations on one song and annoyance was winning out tonight.

Eric was there! And almost sorry he'd missed seeing Jag.

"No Pam?" Jaina asked him, coming over while she could.

"She said I don't pay her enough to come to this shitty town," Eric said with a grin.

"And you didn't immediately throw money at her?" Jaina said, feigning shock.

"Money doesn't grow on trees?" Eric said, then paused. "Does it? Have I been looking in the wrong part of the reserve?"

"I... never considered it before and now I feel like I should have found one a long time ago," Jaina realized.

"Exactly," Eric said. "If we turn into toddlers and ponies, I demand a money tree."

"You should find whoever's in charge of that and let them know," Jaina suggested.

"The mayor, maybe?" Eric wondered.

"Sounds like a good place to start," Jaina said. "You should do that."

There was a long pause.

"Right now, you mean?"

"Of course not," she said. "At your leisure."

"Good," Eric said. "Because I'm comfortable right here."

I need to watch all my Food Network shows on Demand to catch up and this feels very sad.
