Book Haven, Friday
Liara could not find the astrobiology book she had been reading for the past twenty-four hours. It had simply vanished from her nightstand, and she could not imagine she had misplaced it during the night. Unless she had picked up sleep walking. Had she? She did not feel as if she was missing energy.
Hence, when she opened the book shop that day, she sat down and eyed all the books. Perhaps this was just something happening to all books on the island. Or perhaps her memory was already starting to fail. Whatever the case, she wanted to be sure that no merchandise vanished from the shop today.
Two hours later, the astrobiology book reappeared in front of her at the counter for no apparent reason.
Odd.
