Furnado Animal Shelter, Wednesday

April wasn't sure if it was here to be adopted or not, but there was definitely a loose bird in the shelter.

She called the animal control guys to see if they had had anything to do with either a weird prank or a late-night drop-off, but all she was getting was a busy signal. Way to go, 2014.

"Oh, yeah, I was just... I guess 'window shopping' would be the right term," Clint said with a laugh. "Do you want me to see if I can catch it? Assuming you have some place to put it." And assuming he could, you know, figure out how to do that.

April hopped over the counter, more than willing to show Clint around. "I'll tell everyone a dog just escaped and ran away with you," she promised. "Dude, everyone wants dogs lately. That chick Jack came and got one a few weeks ago. A messed-up one, like Cliff and Lucky."
