Saturday, The Boards, Drac's office

Drac was done! The play was chosen - a mystery that was modern enough, short, a little bit of humour, not too gory, and not convoluted in plot. The cast size was even just about right for the Boards! All he needed now was the players...

He stared at the poster he'd drawn up to announce rehearsals...

...

...

Perhaps Jonothon knew of an artist who could draw up a poster.

[Establishy... of a sort! See below!]

----OOC----
To try to shake things up a bit, I would like to try something... new. Instead of having a play that everyone knows, how about we have an element of surprise so we have something to actually read, as players? Not easy to do, when you’re RPing, I agree. But inspired by the thread a while back where the characters were RPing, and by the more recent game of Cards Against Humanity that was played ICly, I think I have found a way to do it.

Sorta.

What if a section of the play is posted and the rest is played out in threads... only it’s AD LIBBED BY THE MUNS while in character... as if the characters DID have the rest of the script!

It’s a lot like a concept that’s currently being done in theaters, actually:

"They've just been assigned characters in a six-page play they've never seen, and once they perform those six pages they'll have to drop the scripts and improvise the rest. Nobody in the theater knows what's going to happen next, but it all begins now." - Script tease

How it will work for us:
1. The characters have the script, the Muns don’t. No right or wrong!!
2. Each day of rehearsal is a different part of the script
3. There is a set-up for each thread that includes some information from previous rehearsals and the "master script".
4. Some basic information about the characters, like costumes, etc. will be provided
5. If we need to add or remove characters, we can do that.
6. The muns go hog wild and develop the scenes as they go.

Please let me know opinions etc in the comments below!

Thanks for bearing with me, everyone! I hope to throw up auditions this coming week!
