Dom had thought the kitchen staff might want to give him the tenth degree about who he was and why he was at the diner, but nope -- they were more interested in showing off pictures of their kids from the weekend. (Dom thought some of them were pretty cute, though he had to really stretch to find a compliment for the tiny ballerina with bright green scales covering her skin.)

Once he'd showed off Luca -- and changed the radio back to a decent station, thank you, small child -- he went out to the counter and started poking at Google. There had to be something on "magical ways to get home when you're in the wrong universe" somewhere on the school multinet.
