Drac was milling about, humming to himself happily. He had no idea why, but for some reason he was in a good mood. Maybe today he would get the rest of the parts for the play cast!

Well before the sun's rays hit the theatre, Drac had the NOW AUDITIONING signs back up and the doors unlocked...

2nd Casting Call for Sour Grapes Of Death

One year ago, Robert Killingsworth bought the farm. Six months later, he was dead, leaving his widow Elizabeth to tend to their fledgling vineyard and winery on the outskirts of California’s wine country.

With mounting debts and no idea how to run a business, Elizabeth is desperate to sell the farm and recoup her losses. The fierce drought and shaky economy, however, have left Killingsworth Farm on the market for far too long.

One autumn day, seven people passed through the gates of Killingsworth Farm to see Elizabeth. One of them, Detective Yu discovers, is the last person Elizabeth ever sees.

Kenzi had -- adjusted? Resigned herself? Whatever. She'd accepted that people didn't know her here, they knew some criminal version with less of an accent and weird hair. So she was going to do what she wanted to do and audition.

Also, food. Some things didn't change.

Declare your innocence… Admit your guilt… accuse someone. What type of character are you interested in playing?

Okay, so Kenzi started with a ballet solo. Shush, that was just to loosen her up. Then there was some improv.

"I know you wonder why I've gathered you all here today." That's what all detectives said by the end, right? "...although really, you should have figured it out by now, because whatshisname has been dead for a few days and we haven't made an arrest. ANYWAY. The clues were all there; the evidence is here; you're a liar and you're a liar and you are just sad, really, tell everyone the truth, it's not that bad.

"AND YOU DID IT!" Kenzi pointed right at the Count, and added, "And I would explain why, but if I give too much away your defense lawyer will get you off, so neener, hold out your hands, come quietly, and you have the right to remain silent!"

Drac looked up from his notes.

"Improv? Good. Can you show me some detecting, perhaps? Some... a scene where the detective is considering clues?"

"Ahhh..." Sure, she could try, right?

Kenzi hopped off the state and began examining the orchestra pit, then jumped up to stare at a chair, sniffing the edges. Then stopped, holding up one imperious finger for silence.

"AHA!"

And she ran to the back of the theater, and then back and said, "Care to explain this!?"

That's an umbrella, Kenzi.

Surely someone is around...

Trying to do this BEFORE work so I can actually play instead of being too tired to even post when I get home...

If you are going to UN-AU your character and want them stuck with a part anyway... or vice versa! Just let me know! :D

I am looking at probably two or three auditions and then the actual opening night. Probably somewhere near graduation/exams week.
