Chilly Boulder, noon
Dinah was taking a long lunch. Or, well, a long ice-cream break. Some days, you needed something like that to get through a hard work day.
"So, if I checked in on someone here, kinda as a social worker, would that be a bad thing, or a stupid thing?" she asked Sheba. "'Cause I might've done that yesterday."
[ooc: for the bff, but open for your ice cream needs.]

"You realize I don't know anything about the ethics of being a social-worker-in-training, right? In my world, you're a superhero."

"He's a great kid. It's just a lot for anyone that age to handle, you know?" She grinned. "I was always half-shocked our future kids survived those weird weekends."

The breaks in the universe had apparently decided to put male Priestly back into place.
Or, well. Sort of.
Male!Priestly wasn't smiling. Male Priestly was staring at Dinah very intently.

Dinah Redmond was gone. The Dinah-looking woman sitting next to Male!Priestly was still eating an ice cream cone. Very, very deliberately.

Then he scowled down at it.
"The hell? I hate pistachio."

Talking in the third person. Classy.

"Chocolate," he said. "Of course." He smiled at her again, a much smaller expression than anyone not from this little 'verse would be used to seeing on his face. "You always know what's best."
no subject
"I do. And you and chocolate are what's best for me."

When he returned, she said, "I have an idea for our next job this weekend. A sneakier one, with less public contact." She took a lick of his cone without asking.

It would take Al Hawke a long, long time to die.

Oh, honey, no. That was terrible.

Why did he even bother trying to lie to her? After being together this long, she could see right through him even when they weren't touching.
no subject
Was she going to have to be mean to him? She didn't like that. Not usually. Unless it was for a particular game. But she would be if she had to. Like if he lied to her.

They hadn't used the handcuffs in awhile. The ones they didn't take on jobs.

Dinah leaned in and licked his lips, then his cone, then kissed him, picking up the idea easily.
Hmm. Maybe to the fire escape, this time.
