The Park, Saturday night

Arachne had gone out looking for more monsters and villains and Vikings to fight, only to find nothing. Nada. Zilch. So eventually she took a seat on a park bench and waited for any sign of anything.

And as she waited, something changed. She wasn't thinking of herself as Arachne, CIA supersoldier. She was Jessica Drew, Agent of SHIELD, aka Spder-Woman. The bloodlust she had felt was replaced by confusion. Then realization. Then anger.

Roxxon was still around on her Earth and because of whatever this was, she had no idea how many more lives they had destroyed with their evil.

Jessica pulled out her phone and booked the first portal she could back home. It wouldn't be until tomorrow night, but she could live with that. She could wait one more day. But after that, she was done with waiting.

..... Apparently for now that waiting was going to continue at this park bench. Sitting there in her costume. Um. She'd probably head off to get some sleep eventually.

[OOC: Hi, I've been doing IT on my computer since basically 1 am last night. I need entertainment. Open park!]

Pinkie was still people-shaped, and still unaware that she was meant to be anything other than people-shaped, but she'd seen out her window -- the teeny-tiny crack in the window she'd been spying through since getting back in the night before -- that the creepy crawlies seemed to be gone, so she ventured out.

She still had her trusty rolling pin and butcher knife, though. "Okay, creepy-crawlies," she said in her bravest voice. "You're not gonna get one over on Pinkie Pie this time!"

[ooc: because I have SO MANY icons of this, and I have so far used only two.]

Pinkie Pie bent over and looked through her legs to see behind her, then straightened. "What hasn't gone normal?" she asked.

"Oh!" Pinkie thought about that for a moment. "How can you tell if you're remembering them right? Sometimes you think you remember things but then it turns out other people remember other things but the things you remember seem like the right things to remember but does that mean that the things they remember are the wrong things or are both of you somehow right, and reality is just really subjective and ultimately meaningless?"

"Oh!" Pinkie smiled. "That's a way better idea than obsessing over whether you just dreamed you were a pretty pretty princess pony, or you're actually a pony just dreaming you're a weird hairless bear thing with wiggly bits on all your feet."

. . . Wait, what?

"I don't know," Pinkie admitted. "Sometimes I just have random insights, so it might be that. Why, do you ever dream you're a pretty pretty princess pony?"

"Glad I could help!" Pinkie said, giving Spider-woman a jaunty salute. "It's a fun one. You're all down on all fours like this," Pinkie demonstrated the proper pony position. "And you have lots of pony friends and you go on adventures and learn the true meaning of friendship!"

The process was entirely indescribable, but by the end of the sentence, Pinkie was a pony again, sproinging happily back and forth across the park path. She paused mid-jump -- like, mid-air mid-jump -- and blinked.

"Oh hey! I see what you mean about the memories thing, now."

"I think so," Pinkie said. "I mean, I remember being myself when I wasn't myself but this is the myself that remembers the other myselves so maybe this is the real myself or maybe all of them are real myselves and I've just learned to tap into a deep overreaching multiuniversal unconsciousness full of different Pinkie Pie myselves. Omigosh!" Her mane flew up in a startle reaction. "I wonder if Gummy was different Gummies, too!"

"He's my pet baby alligator. We're besties."

"Awww," Pinkie said. "I bet he would have loved that."

Never mind that Pinkie had still been living in her usual apartment through her AU incarnations and should actually know if Gummy was Gummy or not.

She was the best pet owner ever.

"I dunno," Pinkie said. "What counts as 'too ridiculous'?"

"I don't really do awkward," Pinkie said. "I prefer to do happy."
