Curiosities, Oddities, and Antiques - Saturday

In honor of the (finally!) warmer weather, Cecil was wearing only a light jacket today, and didn't have the heat blasting in the shop. Actually, he'd opened the door and the windows that opened, in an attempt to get a bit of light and air in the place.

Foucault was sitting in a sunny spot like a cat, fluffing his feathers happily and watching as Cecil unpacked, dusted, and made sure things hadn't moved since last week. So far everything they were selling seemed to be fairly sedentary, but you never knew!

He checked the calendar, grinned, then put a sign in the window he thought Kenzi might approve of:

Russian Cosmonaut Day!
Happy anniversary, Yuri Gagarin!
10% off all moon rocks
25% off to all Russian cosmonauts (w/ ID)

The store was open for business!

[OOC: Open, no OCD!]

He was, in fact, completely correct.

Kenzi wandered after lunch, grinning. "It's like you get me, Cecil."

"I am!" No statements about how the Island was being normal or not doing anything too weird to her, because that was just tempting fate. "The sun is shining, I'm considering a trip in to Baltimore, or hey, D.C., to stoke up the bank account..." You could never be too stoked. "I count as a cosmonaut, right?"

"Awww, gracias, desert dude." Kenzi had plans for those moon rocks. PLANS. Possibly illegal plans but if that didn't work out, she could always troll the DoomHaus occupants with them. "So how many weeks of classes are left?"

"No, so I'm thinking: decide. NOT to decide," Kenzi said, holding her hands out like she saw it on a blazing marquee. "'Choose Your Own Adventure.' Or your own class."

THIS WOULD END WELL.

NO WAY AT ALL.

"Exactly," Kenzi said, proud of herself for coming up with that. "And if no one has ideas, then we watch bad movies and eat popcorn and then explain them on the internet."

Always a risk. But it wouldn't be education if Kenzi didn't teach people how to deal with that. "Yes! And if the other students want invocations, we'll do invocations!"
