Book Haven, Wednesday, 4/23
Alana spent most of her first day at the shop just looking around and getting a sense of things. She poked at the displays to arrange them by color; unpacked the cartons of new books; and braved the mysteries of the cash register.
She'd taken the job on a whim, but now that she was actually at the shop she thought she might really enjoy it. For one thing, there turned out to be a lot of books she wanted to read.
She turned on the store's CD player, put on something jazzy, and found a fat novel to page through while she watched for customers.
