Fandom Post Office, May 6 (Tuesday)

One of the postage scales was being temperamental today. Every time Éponine tried to weigh something, no matter how light it might be, the scale would start blinking error messages and beeping frantically.

Not only that, it kept beeping the melody of Alouette, the significance of which was lost on the cat of the same name who was playing behind the counter today.

For more than one reason, Éponine was fairly sure the scale was mocking her.
