When one jumped into the Looking Glass, one had to expect that things could go wrong. It was powerful magic, after all, and Hatter really hadn't planned the whole thing. One minute he'd been going through the Looking Glass and the next, he'd been lying face first on a sandy beach. His hat was being buffeted by the waves nearby.

"Well then." Hatter had stood up and dusted pants and shirt off before picking the hat up. Water dripped slowly from the brim and then into his hair when he'd put it right back on his head. "This is unexpected."

But, Hatter was used to that. He took it in stride and while he didn't see Alice nor anything else familiar, his surroundings were quite quaint. He figured them for Oyster built immediately and they were a welcome change from the crumbling ruins of Wonderland.

And what luck that he'd stumbled across something similar to his own tea shop! He'd ambled right in and placed his order. The baristas had looked capable enough though Hatter was rubbing his chin while he watched. When he was passed the tea and he sipped it, he gave it points for temperature but it was horribly bland.

"Good try!" he said, giving the guy behind the counter a nod before taking himself and his tea to a nearby table. The seat by the window seemed like the best way to further observe the people and place he'd landed in before he started searching for the Looking Glass again. It had to be around here somewhere.

But, there was always time for a spot of tea.
