Back at work, Alana felt more than a little ashamed as she patted the books she'd so grievously insulted the week before. It wasn't the books' fault she'd been in a magically pissy mood. If it was maybe a little weird to repeatedly apologize to inanimate objects ... Alana thought not being weird was overvalued, anyhow.
Other than her exceedingly gentle handling of the volumes in stock, the day seemed to be relatively normal by Fandom standards. A werewolf romance growled when she tried to shelf it next to a vampire romance -- but, really, Alana couldn't blame it. She put a ghost romance in between the two before heading out of the supernatural romances section entirely.
