Ferry to Ingvar Islet, Saturday Noon

Under different circumstances, Karolina might have had some reservations about this relocation to the smaller island she'd never been on (and couldn't think of anyone ever having been on). But, the current circumstances were that she thought she was going to still be earwormed at least two weeks from now, so she would have been willing to relocate anywhere at least for a while, provided there were no singing bugs there.

So, she was quite happily on the ferry with her backback slung over her shoulder, looking out towards Ingvar with some curiosity. Hey, maybe this would be fun! And at least it wouldn't be bouncy castles this time.

Now if only she could have kept herself from absent-mindedly humming that freaking song...

Ichabod wasn't sure what to expect at Ingvar Islet, but at least he had heard that there were no singing bugs there, which would make it a considerable improvement. He gazed across the water, and then the girl next to him started humming that song.

They hadn't been introduced, but he shot her an annoyed glance anyway.

Karolina frowned at getting a glance like that seemingly out of nowhere.

Then she realized what she was doing, and promptly stopped, the look on her face turning sheepish. "I –- uh, I was doing it again, wasn't I? Sorry."

"Please don't tell me it's contagious." Anything seemed possible here. Then he added, with less irritation in his voice: "Apology accepted though. I don't believe we have been introduced. My name is Ichabod Crane."

"Karolina Dean. Hi." She even gave an awkward little wave. "And um, I don't think it's contagious. I'm pretty sure it's just stuck in my head, possibly for forever."

"Forever? That would be a terrible affliction," Ichabod replied. "I have to say that song hasn't given me a good first impression of the music in this century."

"It's not representative," Karolina was quick to say, even though she ended up reconsidering, tapping a fingertip against her chin. "Well, I guess in some ways it is. But not everything's as terrible – and wait, does that mean I should assume this isn't your century?"

"I arrived at this island assuming it was still 1771," Ichabod said with a slight nod. "Since then I have learnt a few things about this era, but nothing about music. Until the bugs, that is."

Joker nodded at him, agreeing with his glare. "Yeah, that's what I said!"

Ichbod looked at him in total agreement. "I had hoped to escape that particular tune."

Joker raised an eyebrow at her. "Okay, no, you stop that right now. It's not funny yet." Later in the week? Then it'd be funny.
