Fandom Post Office, August 5 (Tuesday)
Large packages came through the post office all the time, of course. That was no surprise, since it was the nature of the business and all. Some of them were even being sent to the post office -- supplies, usually.
Éponine was used to that, because there were some weeks that they went through their stock of bubble wrap surprisingly quickly (and no, she wasn't asking, but the temptation was always there) and did you have any idea how many triplicate forms had to get discarded because someone had made a mistake?
A lot, that was how many, but that didn't do a thing to explain the six cases of canned soup that had arrived this morning, clearly addressed to the post office and packed in with the expected shipment of supplies. The delivery person had no idea, and neither did anyone she could get a hold of on the mainland.
. . . well. If nothing else, at least that was a few weeks' worth of dinner guaranteed in the event that she didn't feel like going out for it.
