It was a quiet week between semesters, and Alana was making the most of it by being utterly nonproductive.
Today, that meant spending most of the day reading the Barry Plodder books Evan had left her, blissfully ignoring the boxes of books that needed to be unpacked. She'd almost definitely get to them before closing time. Right now she needed to find out who the quarter-flesh baron was, and why he kept pestering Barry.
