The stormtroopers ignored the prisoner, and tried to figure out how to work the coffee machine.

"...I can't believe you guys arrested me."

Kenzi sulked her way to the back of the cell, and pulled out her phone. Well, time to see if she had really good friends, or not.

Hp am prisoner save meeeeeeeeee!

Kenzi cackled to herself.

Not my fault!

Like many others on the island, Toby had woken up yesterday with no idea of who or where he was. Which was bad enough on its own, but add in the whole 'hearing voices' thing? Well, he hadn't done much that required leaving his room. The chime of a text alert going off got his attention, and he fumbled for his phone.

His first logical thought was to demand to know who was sending him the message... but all things considered, he figured that was sort of a pointless question.

So instead, he just replied with a terribly eloquent:

what??? where???

Whoever-he-was clearly cared about whoever-this-was, so he figured he should probably be concerned about whatever's going on.

Jail! Come bail me out pleeeeeeze?

Kenzi checked the name on the phone list. Hunh.

Toby the world's most wonderful boyfriend?

Prisoner? The hell did you do, Kenzi?

Sparkle's memories were working just fine. So he knew to take most texts from Kenzi with a grain of salt, really. Odds that she'd actually been arrested? Pffft. She was too smart for that.

... Sparks was going to be so disappointed in you, Kenz.

As well he should be. Memory-Having Kenzi never would've hung around long enough to get caught.

Oooo, Kenzi! She had a name! That matched some of her ID's! Which meant ... not a lot, but hey, place to start.

Well... Blossom canceled the partial portal reservation and flipped open her compact to change back to Momoko.

So, what, you need someone to post bail or something? I'm at work right now, you know. Going through Halloween shit. It's too early in the year for this. You know there are glow-in-the-dark vampire teeth? Like, what kind of lame-ass vampire has glow teeth?

Sparkle also had vampire feelings, and Kenzi was going to have to sit through them if she thought that she was going to get a rescue from Sparks at all.

Well the photo on the contacts list matched the girl in the photos on his side of the room, so... huh. He had a girlfriend. Good to know.

Holy shit. It must be serious if the troopers actually gave enough of a shit to arrest you. I've practically been TRYING to get my ass arrested here so I could get deported back to Canada and here you are, texting me from jail because of a goat?!

There was a minute there, and then Sparkle sent the logical next text in that sequence.

Sparkle might have been more sympathetic, but now he was doing the 'dodged that fucking bullet' dance with one of the mannequins at the shop. It involved a fake rose and a dapper dummy wearing a giant toothpaste tube costume.

Because he'd woken up not even knowing he had a girlfriend, much less where she lived.

If she could've seen it, Kenzi would've so side-eyed him for that. But if she'd had her memories, she would have been joining in, with maracas.

Sparkle had no clue, really. If he had unlocked some great secret, he was going to need to backtrack all of his steps before the weekend to see what in the world it was. He wasn't in the mood for a random memory lapse any time soon.
