Jack had spent the weekend holed up in his room studying and had completely missed the insanity in what he was going to consider one of the island's rare blessings. But he listened to radio, all the same -- it was always funny when other people were miserable.
Meanwhile, Tiny had shaved half his head and dyed the other half pink. He mumbled something about an identity crisis when Jack raised an inquisitive eyebrow his way, and then jammed a ballcap down over his head and refused to say any more.
Jack chuckled to himself again and went back to polishing glasses.
