The Jail, Monday morning
SO EMBARRASSING. God, don't even talk to Kenzi.
"I want my lawyer. And a shrink!" And thank God she'd dumped the stolen card as soon as she'd gotten that hotel room for herself.
... "I can post bail! With my own money!"
The stormtroopers remembered how the coffee machine worked now. Yay for them.
Hmm. Sucking up couldn't hurt. So Kenzi sent Nick a pizza, with the note:
WELL-PLAYED, SIR. TELL THE GOAT NO HARD FEELINGS?
Then ordered one for herself to be delivered to jail past the stormtroopers, who were still ignoring her.

She'd be down to the cells in a minute.

She was lucky she wasn't Fae, honestly. "Bail's not up to me."

[gah, back in a bit, lawyer on the way!]

Not really, but she'd like to know how much shit she was allowed to give this one.

She'd served him lots of beer!

"I work at Caritas. And Luke's. And sometimes the Boards, if there's stuff going on."
And she had extracurriculars that sometimes landed her in jail. Shit happened.

There would be a lot of shrieking then.

He set his case on the front desk and looked at the...officer. "I'm here for Ms. Mackenzie Malikov." He slid a business card across the counter. "I'm her lawyer."

He picked up his briefcase and stared at the...officer...behind the desk. "We can start with a bit of privacy with my client while you finish the paperwork to release her on her own recognizance. Then we can move on to clearing up this little misunderstanding."
