Luke's, Monday
"Are you goddamn kidding me?"
Someone had replaced all the vegetables in the pantry with varying types of gourds and squashes. Eliot had noticed.
The cook came over and peered over his shoulder -- not difficult, since he was at least half a foot taller than Eliot was. "Huh," he said with a shrug. "Pumpkin spice everything."
"Pumpkin spice is not a thing!" said Eliot. "Pumpkins do not have natural spices! Pumpkin spice is a marketing gimmick to sell bland, 'seasonal' foods!"
The kitchen staff stared at him.
"I like pumpkin spice," said the busboy.
Eliot hated this town.

"I'll have that cheeseburger then with the fried egg and the cheese," she replied. "And do you have pumpkin pie with cool whip for dessert? Especially if you have one of those frozen pies."
Re: Talk to Eliot
That was also, mostly likely, not even remotely true. That freezer had everything.

Not until he worked out how to fight off polar bears without a gun.

That stuff was disgusting. If you left it out to dry, it would last forever. Food wasn't meant to do that.

OOC
Re: OOC
...also, swapping to Monday was brilliant, especially now that we no longer get Anakin Skywalker, you know, the Dean, moments.
Re: OOC
Or rather, don't do that, because I made these (http://sallysbakingaddiction.com/2014/09/01/white-chocolate-pumpkin-snickerdoodles/) this weekend and they are goddamn glorious, and I used pumpkin spice to do it because I was too lazy to find the spices that go in the blend, and if you shut your mouth you can't eat any.
BUT STILL. I will go to bat for pumpkin spice ALL DAY EVERY DAY.
Re: OOC
He's particular.
(I would love to try those omg that sounds AMAZING.)
Re: OOC
Yeah no, I'm with you -- I have no objection to pumpkin spice as in the blend of spices that we put in pumpkin pie, but "pumpkin spice" as a concept has gotten ENTIRELY OUT OF HAND.
(....I still love it. But I recognize its faults.)
AND I HAD TWO REPLIES IN TWO TABS THAT BOTH GOT POSTED SOMEHOW. and one was half-written.
It is Monday and I am tired.
