The Boards, Sunday
The lights were on at The Boards, and the doors were open, but instead of a dapper vampire at the door, visitors would be met by a set of ropes and poorly written (mostly gauged) signs that guided them through the front of the house, past the box office (manned by a zombie missing both ears, so speak up), and into the auditorium.
On stage today was a rather, uh, interesting piece that the zombie actors had been secretly working on for a while now: a Shakespearean interpretation of Beckett's variation (with a smattering of Chekov's half-finished revision) of Sophocles' response to a Euripides' play...
Yeah. Drac had forbidden them to even bring it up in his presence.
But Drac was off-island, back home throwing an extravaganza to end all extravaganzas (until next year, of course) for Mavis' 17th birthday, so...

There is, miraculously, some warmed cider (http://allrecipes.com/recipe/hot-apple-cider/) available for patrons. Don't ask, just be grateful that's a cinnamon stick and not a fingerbone.
