The Park: Tuesday
The Trooper station was still getting complaints about the weekend. ("Are you female again? Get over it." "No sir, I don't really give a shit that you didn't get to be female") So Vic left Ralph to deal with the phone calls because someone really needed to go on patrol.
Not that there was a lot of people on the island at the moment.
Hey. C'mon. Those flamingos could act up and riot at any minute.
Which is why Vic was having a cup of coffee and keeping an eye on them.
As you do.
[Offsite and AFK for most of the day but open to SP]

He froze in a manner really extraordinarily similar to that of an animal suddenly discovering it'd been cornered by a predator. If he'd been able to lift all the hair on his body in order to appear larger, he would've. Instead, he started backing slowly away.
He understood that she'd arrested him during one of those weekends, and that that didn't really count. He also appreciated the fact that she'd apologized for it afterwards.
He just really, really didn't like cops.

"You could also call a busker a 'street musician'," he explained, lifting his ever-present guitar case. Which he had attached a strap to, just in case someone tried to steal it again.
What use were cops if they arrested you for playing music but didn't stop people from stealing your guitar?

"Uh-huh. And how many buskers are in this town?" Vic asked in a tired voice.

"We provide a valuable service," he said, more than a little petulantly. "I've saved the world, you know."
Why on earth would she know that, Roland?

And also getting Roland out of the Shadow Realm (and out of being eaten by a dragon), but that didn't mean he had to like them.

Vic gave Roland a forced smile. "Oooookay, Mr. Busker. Didn't know you were also a cat expert."

"Chapman." It took Roland exactly half a second after he said to realize that giving a cop his name was maybe not the best plan. "Ma'am."

"Chapman?"
...
"Is that the name of your cat?"

"Byyyyyye!" Vic said with a false cheery wave.
Only to turn around and see a flamingo staring at her.
"What are you looking at? Go back to... flamingoing."
