The Arms Hotel, Saturday

"Jesus H. Christ."

So, Nikolai had been bored today at work, and a little tired after a late night out in Baltimore. So he'd started looking for brainless browser games to play, since it also happened to be a fairly quiet day at the hotel, and he'd done all of the calling around he needed to do for his job back in LA. And, in looking for something brainless to do, he'd stumbled across what was probably the most pointless game of all.

Except that the most pointless game of all was starting to get weird in unforeseen ways, and now Nick wasn't certain if that was the way the game was meant to be, or if Fandom was fucking with him on his lazy day at work.

Welcome to the Arms Hotel!
Today's Specials:
Grandma's Braised Rabbit
Spiced Pumpkin Oatmeal Cookies
Snickerdoodles

This stupid clicking game couldn't really be this messed up. Couldn't possibly. Had to be Fandom.

Yeah. Nick was going to keep telling himself that. And clicking.

I only just saw this, so late comment is late but Cookie Clicker is awesome.

... And life destroying.

I KEEP WIPING MY SAVE TO REBOOT BECAUSE I FIND IT MORE FUN TO STRUGGLE FOR COOKIES, BUT I'M PRETTY SURE I'VE HAD IT GOING FOR A COUPLE THOUSAND HOURS.

SO. UH. YEAH. (THANK GOD IT DOESN'T MEAN I HAVE ACTUALLY BEEN PAYING ATTENTION FOR THAT LONG.)

Have you tried the dungeons beta?

Okay! So, there's actually four versions of Cookie Clicker to play. There's the currently live version, which is probably what you're playing, there's the beta (which is a lot of fun and has three new types of buildings), there's the classic version, and then there's the dungeons beta.

The dungeons beta is exactly what it sounds like. You start the game like normal and you can't access a dungeon until you have 50 factories. But once you have 50 factories, you can wrangle with the code (the CC wiki has the exact code for you to copy and paste) and you enter the dungeons. You get to fight things and explore and your life and strength depends on how many cookies you've made in the game.

(I'm a terrible influence, I know. Especially when you need all the time for Hal-Con. SORRY!)
