The Perk, Friday Morning
Jack was not in Halloween costume today, but the ermine with him was.
... look, when your girlfriend went and turned into a white weasel for most of a week, you had to entertain yourself somehow. And the hilarity of the costume was completely worth the many nibbles and scratches to the forearms Jack had gotten putting Emma into it. (A "Doo-Wop Girl," whatever that was, wouldn't have been Jack's first choice for a costume, but it was surprisingly hard to buy one that fit an ermine. Anyhow, it was ridiculously adorable.)
Emma sat on the table while Jack got breakfast, sulkily pouncing on muffin crumbs and quite possibly plotting her revenge.
