The Perk | Wednesday Afternoon
Sure, Jim had just been here for Homecoming but what was one more quick trip out, right? He liked this place and it saved him from having to deal with his completely up in the air future. It also helped that the coffee was really damn good too. He couldn't really get a place like this back home.
So, Jim was in the Perk, big cup of coffee (flavored with mint because it was the season), kicked back in front of the window and watching people pass on by. It was getting colder and grayer, a harbinger of winter if there ever was one.
Jim sipped his coffee and wondered if he could just come back here and bum around for a few years. It'd give him something to do and he'd be happy.
And probably bored.
Jim sipped his coffee again. Hmm.

"Jim," she said, placing her drink and a pastry on the table and dropping into the seat opposite him. Because actually asking if it was free was for other people.

"Yes. Exactly." She hadn't seen him until she'd come in. "I don't know how I'm keeping from throwing myself at you."

Though Jim getting chased by flamingos would be an amusing sight.

"So you're saying you murmur sweet nothings in their ears?" she asked. "Does this include farm animals?"

"What does it matter what kind of mood I'm in?"
