Alana screwed up her face at the shop's latest shipment of cookbooks. She'd seen novelty-shaped cookbooks made to advertise branded products before -- one shaped like a jar of mayonnaise that held mayo-heavy recipes, or one shaped like a can of tuna where all the recipes relied on the fish. It struck her as a little gross, but whatever. But this box held a book shaped like a bloodbag ("101 Great Vampire Treats!"), one shaped like brains ("Official Zombie Cookbook") and one shaped like the outline of a human ("Soylent Green for Everyone").
She was going to shelf them quietly and hope it was a joke. The other cookbo0oks all seemed to be shifting to the far end of the shelves, as if to give the new display plenty of room.
