Sure, Hatter could have opened up his restaurant to combat his boredom but eh, he didn't really want to work either. So, he'd settled his hat on top of his head, pulled his jacket on and gone out. His walking hadn't lasted long before he ducked into the Perk to see how they compared to his menu. He didn't do tea because he wasn't about to drink something not made by himself but maybe this would give him some ideas for expanding his menu.

He ordered a muffin and a hot chocolate and made idle talk with the person behind the counter. He commented on his jacket and Hatter preened and tipped his hat. Once his muffin and drink were in hand, he dropped onto a chair near a window and proceeded to do some weird version of window shopping except people were the things he was perusing.

Hey, he'd been a double agent in Wonderland. He still wanted to know his surroundings and the people he might be up against in the future.

Sure, maybe the muffin made him look innocent but he definitely wasn't. Well, not all the time.
