The Perk: Tuesday Afternoon

Something about the cold weather brought to mind Vic's previous job in Wyoming. Of course this being Fandom it meant less murders but more paperwork and general weirdness happening all the time.

Still the weather was making Vic somewhat sentimental. She was currently stationed in at a table looking out the window as she texted her friends back home. There was little hope they would reply but the simple action made her feel better.

"The authority lives and breathes," Hatter said after making his way into the Perk. He shook his hat and then put it back on his head. "I thought maybe you'd disappeared."

"Oh, you didn't want to take calls about garland tying people up and holding them hostage?" he asked. "Too bad, that was pretty fun in a kinky sort of way."

"The Looking Glass spreads trouble wherever it goes," Hatter told her. "Kudos for remembering that. It's been on its best behavior as of late, though. Just letting me go back and forth between home."

"I am an entrepreneur back home," Hatter told her. "As for where that it is, well, it's quite far away. I don't think you'd know it."

"It was more tea shop than restaurant," he answered. "Very popular with the masses. They did love my blends."

This time, Hatter made a face. "If you've never tried my tea, then you obviously haven't tried the best. Those tea bags are offensive to even think about."

What a tea snob.

"That's the difference," he replied, making another face at the description of how it tasted. "It's supposed to have flavor. It's not supposed to taste like some different flavored water. There's fruits and sweets and sours. You're drinking the wrong kind of tea. It'll totally turn you off to the beverage."

"Don't make fun of extended pinkies," Hatter joked. "And the type of tea you should be drinking depends on what you like. Something sweet? Sour? Fruity? Bitter?"
