Kenzi may be experimenting with alcoholic smoothies.

"Those any good?" Bob asked, peering at what she was doing.

"Hey, dude." Kenzi paused, considering. "Hard to be sure. TINO! COME OVER HERE."

Tino stayed in the corner and shook his head in stolid denial.

"I'm not supposed to drink the booze while I'm working," Kenzi admitted.

"I'd offer to help, but..." Bob shrugged and waved his hand through a glass. "Back to life - or death - as usual."

"Aww, man. Sorry?" Kenzi gave him a sympathetic look as she took a sip of her chocolate non-booze smoothie. "I lost out on ten mill, some kicky boots, a cat and a guy. What else did you wish for?"

Bob grinned. "Well, not boots or a cat. And I got money from Hannibal and Jono to go away and eat food. I may have wished for a lovely and flexible beauty, though." Or two. "And a lot of stamina."

Kenzi held up her hand to him. "Transparent high-five," she offered. "For knowing how to take advantage of the sitch. Mine was just there for the pretty, but still!"

Bob returned the high-five as best he could, grinning. "Too many people have no sense of fun," he proclaimed. "Honestly, that boy on the radio - a rubber duck?"

"Sparkle has been psychologically wounded by the Island messing with him too many times," Kenzi observed sadly. "Trust issues, man."

"Very sad when you can't even enjoy your own wishes coming true," Bob mourned. "Well, as long as he's happy, I suppose." He grinned at her. "But I bet we were happier."

"I should've bought more stuff with my money before it disappeared," Kenzi sighed, but had to grin back. "Or gotten pictures of Hot Guy to remember him by. Preferably in the hot tub. At least I didn't waste them like Roland did, making a bear, unmaking a bear..."

"...a bear?" Bob had missed that.

Kenzi rolled her eyes and slurped her drink. "He was trying to make a point. A stupid point. Maybe about eating the cat, I don't know, but it was one of those things you have to undo as soon as the words are out of your mouth. And he wasted the others on making Guy and the cat not look at him. Which. Seriously?"

"Oh, please." Bob rolled his eyes. "Cats look wherever they want." That was an immutable fact of the universe!

"Ya see?" Kenzi snorted. "Fun while it lasted, though. And better than some weekends, where we have to tell the truth or other stupid things."

"Ugh," Bob agreed. "This was much more fun. Even if it didn't last."

He was not at all pouting; he was a (very) grown man.

Awww, Bob-Ghost. Kenzi sighed. "Well, at least you can't get children, I'd guess. That always happens around Valentine's Day or Prom."

"I should hope not!" Bob might have wanted children a very long time ago, but now? No. "How does that even work?"

"No idea, but I think it's the Island. I had like, three last time. Possibly future children with two different boyfriends. A couple people I know ended up with six or seven, and holy wow that's more than I can handle. You're just wandering around in the park, and suddenly someone is calling you 'Mommy."

"Well, not me." Bob grinned. "That must be odd, though."

"Dis.Tur.Bing." Kenzi shook her head. "Enh. I still like this place. Gonna be weird when my last batch of friends from the school graduate this summer, though." Sadness! Missing-ness!

"How many stick around once they're out?" Bob asked curiously.

"I dunno, not that many, really. Most people have families. Or plans to go back to." She paused and added, "I'm closer to Bo than most of my family, so..."

"And no plans?" Bob asked. "Or are they just the type that don't need you to leave?"

"Don't need to leave," Kenzi agreed. "I actually wanna own Dr. Lecter's house someday. That would be beyond awesome." She sighed. "But nope, other than that, not a lot of goals... how 'bout you? Are you just gonna keep on keepin' on?"

"Not much else I can do," Bob answered with a shrug. "Try to keep my friend Harry alive through his natural lifespan, see who I get saddled with next. Try to keep from getting too bored."

"There isn't a way for you to... move on? Undo this?" Kenzi questioned. "I mean, it sounds like it could be fun sometimes but potentially suck a lot if you got stuck with a dick."

Bob smiled grimly. "Harry is the first decent owner I've had in ages. The first one I've really cared about. And no, so far as I'm aware, there is no undoing it. I'm not sure I'd want to right now, anyway." He shrugged. "I'm having fun now."

"Enh. Well, that's good then." She cocked her head. "Maybe you should get him to make out a will so you know who'll get you eventually." Ugh, what a horrible way to think about it... "Anywho. So your class is going pretty good?"

"Yes," Bob answered, smiling. "I think they're learning at least a little, and they pay very good attention, for teenagers."

"Cool. I had fun teaching... last year? Mostly on how to break rules. Summer classes are like that." She grinned. "I think they at least left having some idea of how to get away with more stuff."

Bob snickered. "Oh, that sounds like fun. They let you teach that?"

"Hey, I called it 'Choose Your Own Adventure' and nobody died. That's all they really expect."

"Oo, I like that. I could teach Cursing 101, or How to Be Sarcastic, or something." He was good at those! "Dirty Words Around the World?"

Kenzi hooted. "Hideous Insults in Hundreds of Languages!"

"Mm, more like twenty, maybe?" He'd never really counted. "More than half of which are dead or nearly dead. But they're always good for cursing!"

Ugh.

Bah.

Kenzi is in a terrible mood, but I'm not. :>
