The strange yellow flowers were still in full bloom, but Anders felt far less frustrated by the time he got to work. Between the dance and some time with Nathan afterward, he was ... almost satisfied. Satisfied enough to unpack, sort and shelve a box of books without being distracted by every page that had a drawing of a naked person on it. (These were largely Wiccan books; they contained no shortage of odes to being 'skyclad,' which struck the rational part of Anders as utter rubbish. Doing real magic naked was nothing but a recipe for burns and rashes in uncomfortable places, as far as he could tell.)

But despite this iron resistance, one book at the bottom of the box was somewhat more absorbing. Anders took it back to the counter with him --purely for its educational value, of course.
