"You know, that new movie, Shades of... whatever?" Tamsin asked. She had her feet propped up on the desk and a drink with all the ice cubes in the world in it. She was also staring up at the ceiling.

Bright Eyes sighed. "Yes," she said dutifully. "It's in theaters now. But I don't think it's advisable to go see i--"

"Oh, I'm not seeing it," Tamsin said, waving a lazy hand in her general direction. "I'm not stupid. But you think the movie theater has posters? Maybe we should get one of those ad companies to just put a big ol' poster of some naked people up on the tallest building in town."

She looked towards Bright Eyes. "What is the tallest building in town?" she said. "The school? Could we get away with having an ad agency put a giant poster of, like, private-parts obscured fake-BDSM naked people on the--?" She tapped a button on her computer and an image jumped up. "...Eesh, okay, the guy's not hot. Is there anything else that looks like borderline soft-core we can get posters of?"

Some days, Bright Eyes wondered if she hadn't made the capital mistake of making a supervillain mayor of the island.
