Book Haven, Wednesday, 2/18
On a whim, Alana had decided to try to hate-read 49 Tints of Ecru at work today. She was a bookseller, right? It was part of her job to keep up with what other people were reading.
She could tell from the very first page that other people had terrible, terrible taste, wouldn't know good writing if it hit them in the face, and seemed to prefer their romantic heroines personality-free. The book was so bad she kept reading just to see if it ever got any better at all.
It didn't, but eventually she hit a part that her sex pollen-addled brain thought was actually hot. And any chance she was going to be a productive worker bee was shot for the rest of the day.
[OOC: Open store, open post!]
