Saturday, The Boards

No one die of shock... but there was a Vampire in the Theatre.

And it was open.

(Just don't ask what are the crashing yet slightly musical noises that are coming from the auditorium. SOMEvampire needed to learn to put his sheet music away when he was finished.)

At least the place was clean? No spiders ANYwhere!

*Crash*BOOM*Clang*

"Dear lord." Bob blinked at the noises and edged around the auditorium carefully. (No, it wouldn't hurt him. It was the principle of the thing.) "What on earth is all that about?"

Drac rubbed his forehead AGAIN. "I am terrified to find out. At least no body parts have come flying out?"

"That remains to be seen." Bob eyed the auditorium dubiously. "Are body parts likely?"

"Sounds messy," Bob said. "Couldn't you wire them together or something? Or you could always try lojack."

"A low what?" Drac gave the ghost a puzzled look, then shook his head with a small smile. "They stay together fairly well on their own, but a little enthusiasm or overwork (by some definition) and they tend to fall apart."

"To track any missing parts...never mind." Bob waved it off. "So, have I missed anything interesting this week? I got called back to Chicago rather abruptly."

"How long have they been falling apart?" A shrug. Why would anyone care how long someone has been a zombie? But then, perhaps it was a ghost thing. "Well, one of them claims he's from 1925, but I suspect he is lying by a few decades. He seems very 1890."

"Ah the loudness," Drac twitched as a cymbal crash was followed by the crash of what sounded like a lighting fixture. "They claim they are experimenting with a new musical. They've discovered some music that a friend loaned me."

There was a very eerie silence suddenly.

Then what sounded like a chorus of ducks started up and Drac dropped his head to his hands. "I am regretting not letting them have instruments."

"Sounds like you'd be regretting it regardless." Bob listened a moment longer and winced. "And they don't get tired, do they?"

Drac shook his head. "My only hope is that they will either fall apart or realize they are union workers and aren't getting paid for this."
