The Park, Dawn

The sun peeked over the horizon at the same time the portal opened in the center of the park, right next to the Belthazor Commemorative Chasm. Dozens of children spilled through from as many dimensions and spread out across the island, chattering (or not), laughing (or not...) and searching for their parents (or not).

Hope you got a good night sleep, Fandom. Your children have arrived.

[OOC: All apps have been accepted, and the comms are open for all journals all weekend! Yay AU kids!!! Come in and establish your arrivals!]

Lilith wasn't one of the chattering ones, or one of the laughing ones. No, she came out of the portal and glanced around just to confirm she was exactly where she'd expected to end up. And she was.

She would also have bet good money on her parents not being here. She'd have to deal with that in a moment.

[identity profile] dauntcess.livejournal.com 2015-04-11 12:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Tori also wasn't much of a chatter. (When your parents were Four and Sia, you weren't exposed to a lot of needless talking.)

She jumped out of the portal, tucking and rolling like she'd been taught when faced with unfamiliar terrain, and got her bearings from inside the hole.

Oh. She knew where she was, and her Force sensitivity meant tracking down her mom, at least, pretty easy.

She started trotting toward the dorms.

Tebb took one look around and made a face. "Greeeeeat," he said sarcastically. "I'm here. Ugh."

[identity profile] werefoxlets.livejournal.com 2015-04-11 12:30 pm (UTC)(link)
George wasn't really sure about this. But the portal had been so glowy and inviting and the fox side of him couldn't resist things like that, so... Here he was.

Sniffing the air and looking a little wide-eyed and curious about all the other kids.

[identity profile] bouncy-foxkit.livejournal.com 2015-04-11 01:01 pm (UTC)(link)
"You smell," Zeke said, wandering over to the other kid who did smell. Not bad, of course. More like him. But he wasn't going to say that with all these other kids around.

[identity profile] werefoxlets.livejournal.com 2015-04-11 01:06 pm (UTC)(link)
George still frowned at him. "Nuh uh," he said.

And then. "You smell," he decided, after a second and a sniff. And now he was pretty curious.

[identity profile] bouncy-foxkit.livejournal.com 2015-04-11 01:09 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yeah, but I know who I smell like." Which, you know, made sense if you understood his heritage. "I'm trying to figure out why you do, too."

"This is weird," George decided, edging a little closer with his head tilted way to the side. "Why do you smell like Dad?"

[identity profile] bouncy-foxkit.livejournal.com 2015-04-11 01:33 pm (UTC)(link)
"Because Dad has trouble keeping it in his pants is my best guess," Zeke said with a shrug. "Mom's gonna be..."

Well, he wasn't sure what his Mom was going to be like. She and Dad didn't behave like most other parents. They weren't married or anything.

"...Annoyed but not surprised?"

And most of her annoyance would probably come from not knowing about George in the first place.

Ben had never met a portal (or any other slightly dangerous and dubious life choice) that he wasn't going to try out, which is why when one had showed up during a stuuuupidly boring set of diplomatic negotiations with Mom and Dad in the Mid-Rim, he took the chance immediately.

He grinned where he saw where he'd ended up and started walking toward the ice cream shop immediately.

Yes, it was stupidly early. He'd wait. Besides, ice cream for breakfast was astral!

Okay, so, Mom was probably going to murder him when he got home for taking off through a weird portal without telling anyone first, but as far as Zeke was concerned, that just meant that he had to make the most of the weekend before going home and trying to charm her into not being too angry.

So upon landing in the park, he kept his eyes open for pretty people, shiny things, and tasty food, pretty much in that order.

[identity profile] glacial-kidlets.livejournal.com 2015-04-11 02:07 pm (UTC)(link)
This was probably why Karla and Warren had always told her to be careful about portals, Della reflected as she landed on the greenery. This place certainly wasn't Glacia anymore, possibly wasn't even Kaeleer.

She wished KaeAskavi were with her to explore.

[identity profile] collinommy.livejournal.com 2015-04-11 03:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, wow. So not the little big sister that Nommy was expecting to see here. But the psychic scent checked out, and she certainly looked like a much younger version of the same. Nommy was grinning faintly as he walked up to say hi, tabling his search for Kayla, at least for the moment.

"Della? Is that you?"

Darkness, she was adorable.

[identity profile] glacial-kidlets.livejournal.com 2015-04-11 03:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Della glanced up at him, noting first his Jewel before looking up at his face. She instantly looked a little wary, though there was nothing in his psychic scent that suggested he was dangerous. "Yesss...?"

He looked like Warren, even had wings like Warren, but Warren wasn't Blood.

And the last people with wings she'd seen...yeah. It had been almost two years ago, but she still had nightmares sometimes.

"Do I know you, Prince?" she asked, sticking to Protocol.

[identity profile] collinommy.livejournal.com 2015-04-11 04:00 pm (UTC)(link)
"You... you might not, actually," Nommy realized, blinking and then taking a half-step back to let the poor girl breathe. "This place does some strange things with timelines, I'm sorry."

And then he slipped into a bow, falling into Protocol in the hopes that it would help her feel a little less ill at ease. The bow was a little less showoffish than usual, though. He kept his wings folded behind him.

"Prince Collin Worthington of Glacia, son of Territory Queen Karla DiGlacia and her Consort and husband, Prince Warren Worthington III. At your service, my Lady."

[identity profile] glacial-kidlets.livejournal.com 2015-04-11 04:05 pm (UTC)(link)
There was only one possible response to that. "Nommy?!" she gasped, because of course she knew Nommy! But the Nommy she knew was so little! Barely little more than a baby! She remembered him fledging. "But you're so big!"

He looked almost as old as Warren did!

[identity profile] collinommy.livejournal.com 2015-04-11 05:34 pm (UTC)(link)
And see, there was Nommy, giving that easy laugh of his. The one she... probably wouldn't be familiar with for quite some time.

"And you're so small," he replied, giving his feathers a happy ruffle. "Have Mom and Dad ever mentioned the island to you? The one where they went to school?"

With parents like hers, was it any wonder that Ada had seen the bright blue, glowy, swirly portal thing as a challenge, rather than something to worry about. Sending her parents a text On an adventure, don't be mad, love you!, she'd walked through and ended up...here.

Huh, lots of other kids around, no adults. Oooh, maybe this was some kind of awful kidnapping ring that would require her to mastermind a con to take down! Coooool!

[identity profile] wraithlets.livejournal.com 2015-04-11 02:53 pm (UTC)(link)
A green-skinned Twi'lek teenager in an even brighter green and orange patterned flightsuit came tumbling through the portal, limbs and lekku flailing.

Adra dusted herself off and looked around. "Pretty, what do we blow up first?"

This wasn't the first time Lily had seen this portal, just the first she hadn't been tackled bodily to the ground by one or the other of her mothers before she could get to it. Today, however she'd taken it at a running leap before anyone could stop her.

Standing from her landing crouch, she surveyed her hard-won prize.

"...great." The forbidden portal didn't even go somewhere interesting.

Angela had grinned when the portal showed up, sent Dad a quick, //Fandom visit!//, and hurried through. It had been so much fun, meeting younger versions of Dad and Father. Even if they weren't hers - weren't even together and might not ever be - it was an adventure!

And maybe JJ would be there again? Having siblings was great!

Mummy was going to be so cross with him. Hamish wasn't yet sure whether he cared about that bit, but he did at least know that he was going to be in all kinds of time-out once he went back home.

Dad probably wouldn't be quite so angry -- he'd act like it because it was easier to deal with Mummy if he did (Hamish was already discovering that sometimes it was very easy to appease his mother, especially if she was tired or angry, and she definitely would be both when he returned home.) But really, his father would want to know all about the swirly portal thing.

So really, he could argue that this was all in the name of science. That seemed like a good approach to take, so with his cover story in place, Hamish set off to find his mother -- he was fairly sure Dad wasn't here, but that Mummy had lived here at this time, and that she'd probably have tea.

Her parents would no doubt scold her for this, but Elizabeth wasn't going to miss an opportunity for adventure when a portal suddenly appeared in front of her. It wasn't as if she had been using her magic anyway. Yet.

[identity profile] stoleafamily.livejournal.com 2015-04-11 07:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Alex... Spike! ... hadn't been paying attention.

Look, he ha his tunes, he was walking, he was -- scoping places out-- and then he turned around, there was a blue swirly thing like on Mister What and WHAMMO!

Somewhere else.

"This blows." Or. "In an awesome way."

Time to explore!

Look, Dorian had heard all about portals. A LOT. Especially how he wasn't supposed to use them without An Adult And No None of the X-Men Count As Adults Unless Your Father Says So.

That didn't mean Dorian actually listened when he'd been given the rules, and thus it was that a ball of child tumbled through the awesome swirling magic, rolling a few times just for fun before sitting up to pick twigs out of his hair.

Cool adventure. Now he wanted food.
