The Perk, Saturday Morning
Emma had gotten an interesting message when she'd check her phone last night between bouts of club-hopping with Candy, and thus she was back at Fandom today after spending all-night Portal-hopping. Playing with Portals while drunk was possibly not her best idea ever, but here she was.
She'd swept into The Perk, sending the more experienced baristas diving for cover and leaving her with some bit of fresh meat who just about cried. Good. She could use the tears to sweeten her ridiculously over-fancy drink while she figured out what do to about her caller.

"I heard that," she said neutrally, sipping at her latte. "Stop charging things to my account without asking."

"Although I think my little sister is trying to steal my title."

Logic, Christian, she has it.

"Kiss kiss, darling," she said, breezing in, Kayla in arms. "Fancy getting to the island and feeling you on it. Two weekends in a row, Fandom must be up to its tricks."
She wasn't going to specify which tricks, yet, as she wasn't sure if Emma was in hard denial mode. She knew the only person that would be visiting Emma on a weekend like this; what she didn't know was how Emma would be feeling about it.
"So of course I had to come here immediately and make sure you left enough coffee for the rest of us."
Re: Emma (and Christian)
"Emma, darling, who's your little Teen Mom friend?"
Re: Emma (and Christian)
She went to send an order on a psychic thread, only to pause and say, "Emma. Did you really have to make another one cry?"
Re: Emma (and Christian)
"Christian, Karla. Karla, as you've guessed, Christian. I'd tell you both to behave but that's not going to happen, and I'm starting to think I should have had them spike my drink."

Re: Emma (and Christian)
"Warren and I just had a birthday," Karla said with a laugh. "I might even be older than you are now, Ems. Kiss kiss, Christian. It's lovely to finally meet you. Emma's mentioned you many times over the years."
Often obliquely. Sometimes grudgingly. Very rarely openly and happily. She was never one for letting down her guard very easily.
"I must say, I already like you better than Adrianna. Congratulations for managing to hop over that low bar."
Re: Emma (and Christian)
"Oh god, you had to deal with Adrienne? And the island is still in one piece and not on fire?" Christian looked around warily. "Why is the island not on fire? Emma what did you do?"
Re: Emma (and Christian)
Except for that bit where she'd ratted Emma's location out to Winston, but details.
"I haven't seen or heard from her in years."

Coffee in hand, he joined them at their table with a kiss on the cheek for Emma and a manly shoulder clap for Christian.
"So what terribleness are we up to today?"

To Christian, he added, "I think keeping Emma out of trouble would take a stronger man than I. Besides, you have to admit she has a knack for keeping things interesting."
