J,GoB, Thursday Afternoon
If Yeul had been another type of person, the way she got her way when she actually decided she wanted something would likely have made her very spoiled indeed. But, since she rarely made decisions or asked for things, the fact that she generally got what she asked for, when she bothered to ask, really had little impact on her.
Like right now, while Caius had not wished to stay behind, it was true that he had the least connection to the island, so he got to protect their camp--though she did not know what he would protect it again--while she and Liara were back on the island.
That Yeul's wish to go to the island had not had any particular purpose⦠well, that was rather par for the course as well.
She peered at the display of treats at J,GOB curiously.
She, uh, might be there for a while. Decisions were hard.
[Open! Liara modded with permission!]

"It does not appear the island has changed much since we were here last."

Maybe they were shy!

"That one with the cherries," she said, going up on tiptoes to point. "That one that has the caramel drizzle on it, and the apple one beside that."
There were others, but Yeul was trying.

Liara stuck out her index finger and moved it in the same pattern as Yeul had: cherries, caramel drizzle, apple. Then she did it again, faster, and again.
"Say stop."

Then she peeked.

Yeul did like to people-watch...

"It would have been," Yeul said, after a moment, sounding vaguely surprised. It was strange to think of graduating. "Should we stay for it?"
no subject
"We are here now," she observed. "It would not take a great deal of effort or time on our part to do so."

"Caius will miss us," Yeul noted, though it was not as if Caius had not suffered through missing her before. "Though he knows where we are, of course."

She was not married to the idea of staying here.

"It might be best to leave it up to him," Yeul said, after a moment.

"Caius," he said shortly.

She didn't need his permission, of course, if they were getting technical. But her desire to see this weekend through did not exceed her desire to keep Caius comfortable.

"Do the both of you wish to stay?"
no subject
Not that she thought that would give her a definitive answer. "Yeul?" But Caius might wish to hear it from her.

Yeul, after all, was the worst one to ask that of.
