Cafe Fina, Saturday 5/23
Many years ago (Tim didn't care to count just how many), this was where he and Gwynn had had their first date. If you didn't count going off to save people possessed by an Unseelie Fae and a Vampire.
He thought then, that this would be the perfect place to ask her something very important.
He held the door for her, since he'd gotten to it first and it was just good manners.
[For Gwynn, but naturally open for anyone who wants to dine here.]

She loved that after everything that had happened over the years, the things that they had both been through and after every attack on Fandom, Cafe Fina was still here.

He had no plan for tonight, just figured he'd play it by ear. And hope nothing disastrous happened. Though he never said that out loud so as not to jinx it.
When they were showed to their table, he pulled out Gwynn's chair for her in a blatant show of old fashioned...ness.

"I'm so glad that this place keeps surviving and being here."

"I'm actually ready to order. Do you know what you want Gwynn?"
He wondered if his nervousness was showing.
no subject
Oh yes, she remembered their first date and the fact that he had introduced her to what had become her favorite non-alcoholic drink in this world.
"I also am pretty sure that I know what I want to eat, too."
His nervousness was showing a little and Gwynn was wondering what was wrong. She hadn't seen any danger when they arrived.

Tim ordered a cheeseburger and fries as well as a root beer. Then, after Gwynn had ordered and the waiter had left, he began his carefully rehearsed, but not written down, speech. So naturally whatever he'd composed in his head went mostly out the window.
"So...uhm, Gwynn...I've been trying to figure out...uh, stuff."
no subject
"Tim, what have you been trying to figure out? Is there anything that I can do to assist in this?"
no subject
He laughed, and reached out to take her hand. "Actually Gwynn, there is. See, the only thing I'm sure about at this point in my life, is you."
With his other hand he held out a small box, which he opened (yes he'd practiced that, shut up), revealing a ring. "So...Gwynn Hood, will you marry me?"
Oh shit he'd meant to get down on one knee for that part.
no subject
"Yes," she finally managed to get the word out. "Yes and yes."
no subject
Which he proceeded to do as he actually did go down on one knee, then changed his mind so he could kiss her, and then changed his mind again so he could at least attempt to put the ring on her finger. Praying it was the correct hand. It was supposed to go on the right hand right?

"I love you, Tim."
She was pretty sure that right now, she couldn't get any happier than she already was in this moment.
no subject
"I love you too. You've had my back right from the get-go, and you continue to be the most amazing woman I've ever known. You're my hero." Oh, there was some of the speech anyway.
I'm very sorry, I never got a notification for this reply. I only saw it now that I was looking for the post to link to it :P
