Portal building and maintenance had hit a snag. Every time Jessica turned on the power, even a little, a flurry of butterflies appeared, looking terribly lost. One was even clinging to a stamp for some inexplicable reason. Jessica couldn't really try to rip a non-permanent hole in the dimensional barrier if she couldn't even explain why butterflies were appearing. But first things first, she used a bit of conduit and some webbing to make a butterfly net.
