The Perk | Friday Afternoon
When Ronan wandered into town, it tended to be for the purpose of tooling around with his car or heading for the causeway to find some fun elsewhere. Today, he'd actually decided to stop and spend some money on island.
Everything was just so quaint and cozy. It made him want to gag. Henrietta was similar but different. So different. Henrietta was small but it seemed larger, sprawling, when compared to this island. Henrietta had Monmouth, a place he didn't mind calling home. This place...he couldn't bring himself to call it a home.
Ronan shook his head, scowling as he walked up to the counter. He was harsh and snappy with the barista but she got his order right so there was that. They wouldn't be going on any dates any time soon but his order was right and that was important.
Drink in hand, Ronan took a seat at one of the tables, leaning back and sipping the hot coffee. It was black, bitter, and just what he wanted. Well, maybe not just what he wanted since he didn't have anything to lace the coffee with but it was good enough.
It was times like these, times when Ronan was still and quiet that he really missed Gansey and his insane search for Glendower. It was Gansey's mission, his purpose, but it was something that Ronan dedicated himself to and towards.
He missed it.
