Since he whole thin with the guy with the gun in town happened a couple days ago without trooper involvement, it was easy enough for Jessica to justify a few days of vacation. She had some plans for something to do and it would mean she'd miss at least her next shift.
Now the only problem was officially requesting the time off. Fortunately Ralph was available to show her.
