The Zin Ship Above Fandom, Saturday Evening
The sim broke for the first time sometime shortly after dinnertime on Saturday. It was just a little blip, in a few places. Across the full extent of the Zin simulation system, it was negligble.
But for the citizens of Simulation 45y, it meant there was a chance, for just an instance, to escape.
Across the Zin ship, pods opened. Just a couple, here and there. But that was enough.
[[wait for the ocd up! go here to request NPCs! ]]

The Pods
And some of them might just have.
Re: The Pods
So this was new.
She climbed out slowly, all her muscles stiff. When she lowered herself to the floor she was careful of her injured ankle -- except it was fine. She felt sore all over, but the ankle that had gotten shot earlier totally didn't hurt any worse than anything else.
Right. Because none of that was real.
Which meant she could shift again!
She gleefully went through about six different shapes right there in her pod room just because she could, then turned to look at the door. She could go small and sneaky and get out without drawing any real laser fire on herself.
Or she could go big and maybe get to break some things while she made her way out.
Decisions, decisions.
Throughout The Ship
Too bad for them they're not really expecting a break-out.
Escape!
Or find some other way to break out. Maybe you have friends on the outside?
Re: Escape!
There. That looked hatch-y. Raven lowered her head, grew and thickened a bone plate over her forehead, and ran full force into it as hard as she could.
On The Outside
Want to head up there and pick up some of your newly-escaped islandmates? Just want to shoot at the ship and see if it dinges anything? Go go!
Re: On The Outside
"GIMME BACK MY BO, YOU ASSHOLES!"
Re: On The Outside
"Hello?!" she yelled back. "Is someone out there?"

You might want to stand back, Zoe.
Re: On The Outside
a) she probably didn't want to know, and
b) she did not want to die by flamethrower,
so she turned and crouched down, putting herself between Grace and the seam. "All right, go!"
Re: On The Outside
"Can you kick it out when it cools in a minute?"
Re: On The Outside
"No, you can't have one," Zoe said to her, before smiling at Kenzi. "Thank you for that."
Re: On The Outside
She managed to bank at the last moment, her wings spread. Was she -- was she flying? She was flying. She was flying! -- oh shit a tree!
A little peregrine falcon scrabbled at the air, missed a tree, and landed tangled in a bush.
Giggling.
Re: On The Outside
"Hello? Did you just break out of the ship?" Kenzi called, trying to brush some of the branches out of her view. "Are you usually human?"
Re: On The Outside
She'd had enough of being stuck, this week.
"Hi," she said. "Yes. To both questions."

Raven was the best storyteller. The best.
